What to Wear and Where to Wear It

Rural Work & Around the Farm

They look great with denim or cargo pants and a tucked-in flannel or heavy cotton work shirt. Think laid back, comfortable and practical, so you can just get on with whatever your day on the land brings.

Off the Clock

They go fine with your favourite jeans and a tee or chambray shirt - the oiled leather gives them a clean but hard-wearing look.

Wet Weather

In cooler or wet weather, throw on an oilskin jacket or light waterproof shell and show off your boots! They’re built to give you grip and protection, but they also handle wet paddocks, muddy yards and early-morning checks without missing a beat. Off-site, they’re solid for weekends, errands or a day in town — perfect when you want one pair of boots that work as hard as you do.

FAQs

How do I look after my Ariat Workhogs?

Before you kick them off at the end of the day, run them over some boot brushes to knock off most of the dirt. Give them a quick wipe over with a soft cloth. If they are completely dry, you can apply leather conditioner or Dubbin to keep them supple. If they are wet, avoid using heat to accelerate the drying time and allow they to dry naturally.

What is the fit like?

Workhogs are built for comfort. With an extra wide fit and a roper toe, most people report that they fit true to size, and they don't need much in the way of wearing in! Check out Ariat's size guide here.

Are all Workhogs Composite Toe Boots?
